Casa Medioevale is a self-contained mediaeval house in the centre of Isolabona situated on the south side of the church square, only a few minutes walk from local restaurants and bars.
Isolabona, about ten kilometres inland from Ventimiglia, dates back to the 12th century and the region of Liguria has one of the most beautiful coastlines in Europe. Road access via Ventimiglia is quite easy from Nice to the west and Genoa to the east.
The surrounding area is mainly woodland and hillside, with mountain trekking and mountain bike paths. The famous rockpools of Rocchetta are only a few kilometres away. There are a number of green play areas for children with many sporting and leisure facilities nearby.
Accommodation is a self-contained house for up to 5 people. It comprises one double bedroom and large shower room with WC, bidet and wash basin. The second bedroom has a double bed and single bed but easily converts to a living area. It has an ensuite WC with wash basin.
The kitchen and dining area lead on to a sunny roof terrace.
The kitchen is fully fitted with fridge-freezer, gas cooker, dishwasher and washing machine. The house is fully centrally heated.

Liguria is the coastal region of north-western Italy, leading to the Cote D'Azur in France. The coastal strip forms the Italian Riviera; further inland are the Ligurian Alps on the west, and the Ligurian Apennines on the east. The capital is Genoa.
Monte Carlo is only 35 kilometres along the coast, San Remo 28 and Bordighera 12. The village of Apricale is just 3 kilometres away. The Ligurian coast enjoys a mild maritime climate with Summer temperatures averaging about 25-30°C.
Liguria hosts many events through the year and Isolabona is ideally placed to visit them.

From Nice Airport there is an airport bus to Nice railway station with a good train service to Ventimiglia. From the station there is a taxi service or a bus service nearby.
By car leave the A10 motorway at Ventimiglia toll, drive into the town centre and take the Sp64 provincial road inland through Camporosso, Dolceaqua and on to Isolabona. At Isolabona take a right turn over the bridge in the direction of Apricale (SP63). After about 150 metres you will go through a short tunnel. Turn right immediately on exiting the tunnel and drive down the narrow street into the church square. Vicolo Campane is a small street at the lower end of the church square.
You can park here to unload. Once you have unloaded there are two public car parks back through the tunnel on the left-hand side.
